Lately....

Lately our schedule is stay in holden until Saturday night, drive to Cedar City, go to church Sunday and then drive back to Holden for the week. It has been so much fun spending so much time with everyone. We visit Grandma Stevens everyday, go swimming for 2-3 hours everyday, and then find things to do. Sometimes we go on walks, or clean, but currently we are painting the swing set out back. It's going to be a John Deer green and yellow. Painting takes forever!!!
This weekend Dawson and I came to Cedar City alone. We came on friday so we could get things taken care of and I have a baby shower to go to. My friend Brie is prego! Hurray! She's due in 3 1/2 weeks I believe. It isn't very fun without J.D. around.
Has anyone every had a house but not truly lived in it. Thats what I feel like is going on now. We honestly haven't lived in our apartment. The day we moved we left for Holden that night... now we have lived in Holden 3 going on 4 weeks. I love Holden, but sometimes you just want to be at home-suitcases aren't fun to live out of. There is always things I want or need and can't get to them.
For now, I have been pretty relaxed living there. Holden seems like a vacation. :) I just forget about my cell phone all the time. Its a slow paced life there which is very nice. I hope to see friends and my family soon. Summer is almost 1/2 over :( but so many exciting things go on during the school year. New babies, holidays, family time, and I get to live in our apartment for once. lol! Dawson is doing great by the way. I will post pics and updates next time I'm here.

A week in Holden

Here is Mr. Dawson with a chocolate chip cookie... The story of how he got it.. well, J.D. and I were downstairs watching a movie, and Dawson wanted to get down and play. Little did mom know, that dad had left cookies on the floor. Dawson managed to pull out the whole tray of cookies out of the package. Luckily he was slowly enjoying one while the rest stayed in the tray... whew! His innocence is so cute!
Here is Dawson again, chowing down. I don't blame him :)

While we were there, J.D. was moving a pile of cement and rocks to the other side of the yard (building a waterfall for his mom) We decided to let Dawson sit up there with J.D. He loved it! He wasn't scared at all!

When he first got up there, this is what he did. He has skills if he already figured out how to drive with a stick. lol!

There is good news. J.D. started the cutting hay job on Thursday. They are just working on fields in Millard county for now, then in a couple of weeks he goes to Cali. So while he's workin close to home, Dawson and I stay at Grandma Stevens'. He has learned to crawl on hands and knees! Hurray! This means I don't have to knock him down when he tries to walk... read on and it will explain why I wanted him to crawl on hands and knees. . .
Grandma Stevens' said if kids don't learn to crawl on hands and knees, then they have a hard time reading (at least that's what she learned in college) So, happy to say, she won't have a dumb grandchild! :) lol
Also, Dawson has learned to walk along furniture, and stand. He can't stand for very long, but he's getting more brave every day. He sure is a busy little boy! I'm definitely in for it. :)

Here are some pics!

So for the month of May I got to stay in Kanab Monday-Thursday and babysit for my sister. We would go to the park a lot and play with the water. It was so much fun! Dawson and I would sit and he'd wait for the water to come out and in the end, he was soaked!

We blew this up just to play with, and Dawson went nuts! He was giggling so much!

As for another update, we moved this last weekend. It was so long and tiring, but I almost have the new place all put together. Now we are just figuring out the job situation between us both. Keep us in your prayers!
