Nap Time

This is more of how nap time has been going at our house lately....
I love it! Dawson has his hand on the remote and his other arm wrapped underneath Monty to hold him.
And then Dawson cuddles up and eventually Monty wakes up. BUT Monty doesn't cry or scream for mom. He just sits calmly next to Dawson and waits of him to wake up too.
I love the bond that these two have and I love seeing them comfort one another. It melts my heart and brings happy tears to my eyes. :-)

"Get Your Head in the Game"

We watched High School Musical and Dawson caught on to every word. The next thing we know we have our own super star singing, "You gotta get your head in the game" over and over and over again as he bounces this ball all around the house doing all sorts of tricks.
 Fake left...
 under pass...
 head bunt..
 bounce bounce bounce
 fake right

It was hilarious and SO entertaining! Get you head in the game!

7 Months

Monty is growing up so fast! He is now 7 months and can do incredible things! He is such a good eater and loves to try the food that we all eat.
He is so interested in everything that goes into our mouths.
He knows who his mom is, and is quite attached; which I don't mind at all. I love it! I love being the one that calms him down. He is a BIG TIME cuddler. I thought Dawson was a cuddler.... but Monty is even more cuddly. He likes to play with my hair or his at any time of the day.

He loves his big brother. He loves it when Dawson plays with him or holds him. The other day, Dawson picked up Monty and Monty started squealing so loud and giggling uncontrollably. When Dawson would set him down, he'd stop. Dawson would pick him up and he'd start up again. IT was SO CUTE! Dawson loves him back just as much. He loves to put Monty's hands on his hair so Monty will play with his hair. He loves to help feed him and make him smile.

Monty is extremely strong. He has been since he was born. He is starting to crawl... so far it's just back wards, but he is getting there. He can go from a crawl to a sit and sit to a crawl. He loves to jump and stand. He can pull himself up into a stand position. He loves it and thinks he is so funny because he can do so much.
And if he falls down he's pretty sad.
He has such a big smile if you can get him to share it with you. Usually he's pretty happy, but if he doesn't want to smile he won't. His sad face is heartbreaking. His bottom lip pushes out and trembles, and he looks right at you with sadness. When he smiles though, you can't help but smile and forget all you worries.
Monty is not very patient when it comes to eating. When he wants to nurse, he means right then! He doesn't want to wait for me to get ready , and put a blanket over me. He will scream and scream until he is actually eating. I can't help but laugh...lol

One important thing about Monty, is that he LOVES water. He loves to drink it from a water bottle first and foremost, but a cup will usually suffice.
Most of it goes out and down his shirt, but he still can't get enough.
He is doing so good holding a cup on his own.
Happy 7 months Monty. You win over everyone's heart and you love it. We wish time would stop, but then again we love watching you grow and reach new mile stones. Love you buddy!

An Adventurer!

We went to Miles City during the 4th of July weekend to get our monthly grocery shopping trip done. We decided to hit up the dollar store to get some baby toys for Monty. Dawson has been into catching bugs, and exploring lately. SO I had to get him some accessories and equipment.
The minute we got home, Dawson disappeared and returned saying, "Mom! I'm going on an adventure! I'll see you later okay?"
He was so proud to be going on an adventure with his new stuff. I love how much he loves the outdoors and loves to play. I have to be grateful he isn't addicted to gaming and the TV. I love how he gets so into everything he does. Dawson, you are one awesome kid!

4th of July

This year was a little different for us. It was a first to not be near family and not spend the holiday in Holden or Kanab. It was sad, and wasn't near as eventful as the ones we've had. BUT it was nice to spend it together. We went to the parade and got plenty of candy. That night we did our own fireworks with some friends. Saturday night was the big town fireworks (Up here they do things in a 2 day event instead of everything in one day).

My mom sent all of her grandkids 'America' outfits and 'America' swimsuits. Dawson absolutely loves America clothing. He is definitely proud to be an American. He loves our country and he is only 5, yet he understands we are free because soldiers fought for it.
 I love the boys' hats!
Monty B is growing up so much!
These two love each other so much and have so many smiles and laughs to share with one another.
Happy 4th of July America. I'm so grateful to live in this country. I'm grateful that I get to raise my family in such a great country. I'm grateful that we have our freedom. I can't wait to own a home and live the American dream. :-)

So Sweet and So Loved

The other day I asked J.D. to run to the store for me. Dawson jumped right up to go with him. We live so close to the grocery store, we usually just walk if we only need a couple things. When they came back, they surprised me with a card, some gerber daisy flowers, and ice cream treats.
It was so sweet, and made my whole week! It makes me feel so appreciated and that my hard work at home goes noticed. It made me want to just work harder. I love my family and am so blessed. Love you guys and thank you J.D., Dawson, and Monty.

The Restaurant & The Sausage Link

Once in a while we treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. Here in Glendive, there isn't much to choose from, so eating out doesn't happen very often. Just for the sake of ourselves not getting sick of what's available. :-)
We decided to try the east side of town and we picked CC's Family Restaurant. I ordered a sausage skillet (breakfast is 24/7!) and J.D. ordered the country breakfast with sausage. Now, when JD ordered his, he didn't think it would come out looking like this....
This picture does not do this justice! This sausage link was ENORMOUS! J.D. and I just started busting up laughing when we saw it.
J.D. said, "I did not think it was going to come out like this when I ordered."
This sausage link was so big in length and circumference he couldn't even finish it. It was a pretty fun dinner needless to say.

Stuck

Dawson loves to see if Monty's things will still fit him.... Dawson is skinny and surprisingly he manages to squeeze into many things that he should not be able to. However.... squeezing out of them is not as easy. Dawson also forgets how child proofed things are....
 uhhhh..... ya. I'm stuck.
Let's see if I can still get around with being stuck in the stroller...
Dawson buckled himself in. Remember, the straps are fitted to Monty's waist. I was nursing, so I couldn't get him unstuck for about 10 minutes. It was pretty amusing on my end.

Road Trippin to Uncle Chad's

The boys and I drove down to Belle Fourche for one last time to help my brother move. As Monty gets older, he isn't very fond of the car seat or the car..... he hates facing backwards and is persistent with screaming so he gets what he wants. So we had a 'no rush' ride home. We stopped in Bowman, ND and caught a few pics.
"Oh Hello there camera," says Monty.
Big grins and a long tongue from Dawson!
We had such a good time hanging out and moving Chad. We are going to miss living close to them.
