Update

So far the month of May has been crazy! I babysit in Kanab for my sister Amy Mon-Thurs, then go back to cedar. We have been going through storage and organizing to decide what can and can't fit in the new apartment. We move next friday... We really hate moving, but oh well... it happens regardless. This weekend we are finishing the bunk beds and lamps-I'll post pics when they are done. Then cleaning the lovely garage and more organizing. :)

J.D. has been studying so hard for the DAT. Everyday he wakes up and just goes at it. He says its hard to study without me and Dawson around... so he goes to Holden and studies until we come home thursday. What a trooper he is and so sweet! :) Please keep him in your prayers that he will be able to do well.

Dawson is gettin so big. After we move we will have internet again and then I'll post some pics. He can stand up in his crib now. J.D. said I needed to let Dawson cry it out when he goes to bed... so I tried it and I just cried with him. It breaks my heart to hear any baby crying, especially my own. So finally I went it there and a good thing I did because the crib gate wasn't all the way up and there Dawson was standing up and tears rolling down his face. I just am not one to let him cry. I don't feel its bad to do. There isn't a right or wrong way of how one chooses to raise kids, kids will still be kids and have there own personality. Some say I need to just let him learn to comfort himself, but I say all in good time he will. I just prefer to rock him to sleep. He's only a baby for so long right? Soon you want to rock them and they won't let you.... too soon for me. lol

I'm doing pretty good. I am getting more and more ancy to start moving. I want to just get it done and get it over with. Then the summer really starts for us. DAT over with, move over with, applying to dental schools is over with and just waiting for school to start. Although it will be kind of lonesome this summer. J.D. leaves to work for 2 months. I get to go stay with friends in Cali and see him whenever I want, which is exciting to see him and our friends.

Well thats all I have for now. I will post pics soon!

Another pictureless update

The other day we got a call about an opening for the scholarship housing. We are moving May 29th-31st! It is such a blessing! I'm excited because the apartment we will be moving into is like 4 doors down from my best friend Brie! Wahoo! I'm excited to be able to spend more time with her and her husband and the baby coming! :) J.D. is finishing up his finals this week and until next tuesday we will be in Missouri at my brothers twin's baby blessing. I'm super excited to see my family out there! And the new babies! They need to know who there favorite Aunt is. :)
When we get back its study time for J.D. He takes the DAT May 29th.. and applies June 1st. Please keep him in your prayers. And yes the DAT is the same day we move... perfect uh? lol! June 2nd J.D. leaves for 2 months to work in cali. That will be hard, but we will make it.
Dawson is doing so good! He is starting to crawl and recognize more and more his surroundings. He is so observant. He is still the happiest baby! We hope all is going well with everyone!

No internet

It's been a long time of a post due to no internet... so until further notice this is whats been happeneing. I absolutely loved conference. It answered so many prayers for us. I'm so grateful that we have the gospel in our lives. :)
Dawson has been doing great! He is rambling on all the time and still the happiest person/baby I've ever known. He has had a runny nose from teething... plus fevers... but where the heck are the teeth???!! lol He is also army crawling EVERYWHERE! He super fast for a 6 mo. old
J.D. is gone this weekend ;( to california to work a bit with his mission companion. Since he's been laid off we've had to find random work here and there to survive, which I can't complain because through more answered prayers many little jobs have popped up here and there. We truly are blessed.
We got approved for scholarship housing, SO when one opens up we will be moving. I'm bittersweet. No rent will be so nice, but I love the area we live in. i will miss all the neighborhood kids and neighbors. It has been such a neat experience. My days are never boring because someone usually stops by to get a drink, candy, just to say hi, tell us fun news, or just play with Dawson. They are so much fun. I learned how to make bubble bread from a neighbor girl who came by to play and see Dawson, and wow! the best and easy snack ever!
I will post pics when I can-so sorry :(

Spring Break!

We went to Holden all week and here is J.D., Brant, Jetta, and Parker playing cards at Great Grandma Stevens'.

Here is Dawson and Great Grandma Stevens'

We also rode Ringo while we were there. We thought it would be fun for Dawson to see the horse.

This is J.D.'s little brother Parker. J.D. rode with him first (below pic) and then let him ride alone. Afterwards we decided that he's 9.. it's about time he get familiar with a car. So we let him drive down a long dirt road. He did really good!

Here is J.D. teaching Parker. He is a really fast learner!

Here is Dawson and J.D. riding the horse. Dawson absolutely loved it! I thought it was so cute to see them both on the horse. I'm so lucky that J.D. knows how to do stuff like this. Dawson's even more lucky!

As you can see he is super excited and happy about being with dad on the horse. :)

Here is my hottie hubby!

On Monday we just went to visit Ringo. (tuesday is when we rode) Story: J.D. went ahead to try and catch Ringo, but there was no need. He walked right up to me and Dawson. On Tuesday he did it again! We have a touch or just Dawson. It's a gene he inherited from Grandpa Shelley and Grandpa Stevens. They are both real cowboys.

This was Dawson's first time on the horse. It was such a neat experience.
We had such a good time in Holden. We celebrated J.D.'s parent's birthdays, and were able to spend some good quality time with everyone. It's so nice to see family and spend lots of time instead of just a weekend. Plus we want Dawson to be familar with everyone, which he was doing so good with.
Also at the beginning of Spring break on Friday the 13th, we went to one of the most amazing sealings I have ever been to. It was for Andy & Kenzi Alldredge. It was so neat! The reception was so beautiful! Kenzie looked absolutely gorgious! I forgot our SD card so I didn't get pictures. They were both just grinning ear to ear! haha! Congrats to them!

Father like son

This is such a funny photo! Both have just about the same face on :)They look so much alike too
So other than J.D. loving the Incredibles movie, he loves Iron Man too (I like it as well) Anywho, one day I came in and found Dawson trying to eat Iron Man. (He has become very mobile! He is an expert army crawler)
And here is the father and son sticking there tongues out at me! I caught this right at the perfect moment! lol!
Here are the two just chillin! They are so cute! They have almost similar hair styles too! lol
This is J.D.'s hat, and just like J.D. he has it on backwards and smiling about it too!
Besides all of this, he's learned how to get what he wants by fussing with the saddest frowny face or screaming (also like J.D..................jk, J.D. doesn't scream) hahaha!

Yummy Baby Food

About 3 weeks ago we introduced Dawson to baby food. :) He refuses to take a bottle, I don't blame him because me and J.D. tried it... it's disgusting! Even pumping and trying to give him the bottle with my milk he won't take... so we decided to try baby food. (Because of all the stress my milk hasn't been coming in as well, so we've needed to supplement) This was the first time in weeks that he has eaten all of his food and he didn't just spit out most of it! GOOD JOB DAWSON! Whoo hoo!

He really loves to get in the high chair since he's able to sit up and play. He isn't coughing anymore from RSV.. which means he is basically over it! :) He is starting to sit up on his own more and more each day.
