Well, this week has been so much fun! It started on Saturday when J.D.'s little sister Lynette went through the SLC Temple to recieve her endowments. It was such a neat experience for her, and for us to be a part of it was so cool as well. Here is a picture of everyone who went! This is J.D's little sister Lynette, and her new husband! They had just walked out of the temple! Her new name is Lynette Sweat! The sealing was even more amazing! It was so nice to go and get a refresher on what it's like. They were so happy, and they didn't even cry! I remember that we cried from the beginning... ahaha, maybe we are just babies...
After the ceremony we went to the side of the temple to take pictures. This is J.D's little niece, Jetta, who was entertaining us while we were waiting. It was so funny!
That night was the open house in Heber Utah. It was so cute! They had the best dessert, SUB ZERO ICE CREAM!! We stayed for almost the whole thing and then went to the hotel for the night and decided to go swimming!! This is J.D.'s brother, Lucas! He came walkin into the pool room with cowboy boots and a swim suit! He's a cowboy and never wears anything but boots!
Also, J.D. and his little bro Parker were having a blast! J.D. was chucking him so high in the air! These are a couple of the pics from that.
Isn't J.D. so good lookin! He so happy that he's swimming too! He didn't think he'd get to since we didn't know we'd be going to the reception or staying the night, but his dad saved the night by letting J.D. use his flamed swimming shorts!
Parker loved this! J.D. would throw him like a football! He flew through the air so far! After a fun week of excitement, we finally made it home! It was so nice to see the family and spend so much time with them! We were sad to leave since we won't see Lynette and her new hubby Shane for a long time. They are going to Iowa for medical school for 4 years... :( But we are very blessed to be part of their wedding before they leave.

Eagle Hollow Furnishings
As some of you know, J.D. has his own log furniture business. It's definately a "side" job. We just use his talent of this when we need it. This summer, Jenny's brother ordered a bunk bed with a twin on top and a full on the bottom. This was the first bunk bed he's ever attempted! :) Here is a quick show of the process, which really has taken a bit longer since we haven't put full days of work into it.
After we get all the pieces stripped (which takes forever!!) and cut to length, J.D. uses a tenon cutter to cut each end so it will fit together like a puzzle....After all the ends are tenon cut, and the holes are drilled, then we spend hours sanding. Then we put it together and bolt everything. Then we put finish on it. This is one side completely done.
Here it is!! It's all done! J.D. quickly put together the ladder (which doesn't have finish on in this pic, but you get the idea). Now, the ladder has a cool feature that you can't see. It's being held up by leather buckles! J.D. is very talented as you can see. He really loves working with wood, and it makes him feel so good to see how amazing the finishing product looks.

The Husband Store
This was a funny email that Jenny recieved the other day and we thought it was worth posting.
The Husband Store
A brand new store has just opened in New York City that sells Husbands. When women go to choose a husband, they have to follow the instructions at the entrance:'You may visit this store ONLY ONCE!' There are 6 floors and the value of the products increase as you ascend the flights. You may choose any item from a particular floor, or may choose to go up to the next floor, but you CANNOT go back down except to exit the building!
So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband
On the 1st floor the sign on the door reads
Floor 1 - These men have jobs.
The 2nd floor sign reads: Floor 2 - These men Have Jobs and Love Kids.
The 3rd floor sign reads: Floor 3 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids and are> extremely good looking.
'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going.
She goes to the 4th floor and the sign reads: Floor 4 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Good Looking and Help with Housework.
'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly> stand it!'
Still, she goes to the 5th floor and sign reads: Floor 5 - These men Have Jobs, Love Kids, are Drop-dead Gorgeous, help with Housework and Have A Strong Romantic Streak.
She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the 6th floor> and the sign reads:
Floor 6 - You are visitor 31,456,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store.
To avoid gender bias charges, the store's owner opens a New Wives store just across the street.
The 1st floor has wives that love sex.
The 2nd floor has wives that love sex and have money.
The 3rd through 6th floors have never been visited.

Happy Birthday J.D.!
So for J.D.'s birthday, which was on the 31st of July, but we celebrated it the next day at Lake Powell!! He worked all night and got home at 5:30 am, and we left for Powell. He was so tired, but we made it there. We met up with some of our friends there (who had stayed the night thurs.) and they had a boat and jet ski's. As soon as we got there we headed out to ride the tube. We decided that Jenny had better not ride the tube,... we want Dawson to get here, but not at Lake Powell and this early.... So J.D. got on and wow, they were flying all over the place! We hit one wave and he flew 15 ft. in the air (we missed that picture...dang!) We played all day long! It was so much fun! J.D. said it was one of the best birthday's ever. He's now 23 years old....

Missouri Vacation!
On Monday we went to Missouri for a vacation! We had a blast! We went to see Jenny's brother and his family. While we were there, we went and saw Jesse James' home and where he was shot, and also the museum (which is an old hotel from back then) that showed so many things from Jesse James' time, and when the Pony Express was started. It started in St. Joseph Missouri. It was so fascinating to see old carriages, guns, shops, tools, occupation set ups, furniture, paintings, stories, cars, trains, planes, and so much more! After we had a BBQ for J.D's birthday (which isn't until next week) and a birthday cake! Before we ate though, J.D. and the boys, Jaidon and Chase, set up a slippin slide in the backyard! J.D. was definately too big for it, but still was able to slide! ahaha! It was so nice to be able to relax and see family. This is the world's tallest man! He visited St. Joseph, MO
at one time, and they hung his picture here. J.D. is 3 ft shorter!!!
This train was huge! the first cart was the mail cart. We
were barely taller than the wheels. we are standing on a
plank next to it. This is a hurst back in the day! You can see the coffin!
Notice only 13 stars on this flag!

10 weeks to go!!!
Well, today J.D. and I went to our last 4 week appointment! Hurray! Now we go every 2 weeks! This makes it seem more like a countdown. The doctor said he definately has a strong heartbeat. Dawson was just moving all around (like always) and kickin as hard as he can..... lol! And good news, the U.T.I is gone finally. It's taken a bit, and a couple different medicines to get it gone... but everything is good now! Also, while we were there, Jenny tried to strike a deal with the doctor about setting a date for the baby if he doesn't come earlier... he just laughed and said he'd rather it be a spontaneous delivery rather than planned. So she ended by letting him know she would do all the tricks possible to go into labor earlier than Sept. 22nd, and he said as long as it's spontaneous go for it! ahahah! So if you have any ideas let us know b/c we are getting anxious! :) Jenny still has the picc-line. It's been a blessing once again. She's always had an issue with motion sickness, and with as much as Dawson is moving it really gets to her. We've had to do the medicine a bit more than the past few weeks. The Doc thinks we should just keep it in the whole time, and we think so too.
We went and go the logs to build the crib, and have it all designed and ready to start. We have to finish Jenny's brother's bunk bed first, which is coming along great, and then we'll get the crib going. J.D. loves working with the wood and it also gives him a break from everything.
On the 4th of July we went to Holden and it was so much fun! It was so nice to be with family and just relax. It was the best firework show yet, even J.D. agreed that's the best one Fillmore has had. J.D. was able to help his dad with his shop... by the way is looking so awesome! It was the first 4th of july in Fillmore for Jenny, and J.D's first one since he left on his mission. It was so neat.
Everything continues to go well with our jobs, and friends. We really love Cedar! Our neighbors love to visit and hang out all the time. Our ward is incredible! We are primary teachers for 9,10,11, &12 yr. olds. We also get to speak in church this week. We've grown so close being down here and truly feel blessed with so much!

Dawson is well on his way here!
Well, there's baby Dawson starting to poke out! Being able to feel him squirm and kick makes being pregnant more exciting. He definately is kicking a lot! (it's like he never stops) The doctor says he's a pretty active fellow! The other day Jenny could feel a constant poke for about 1-1/2 hours! We kept pushing to get him to stop, but nothing seemed to work, it was just a constant almost annoying poke. Come to find out he had the hick-ups! Hahaha! He also starts to kick no matter what time of the day, if someone or something is pushing even the slightest bit on Jenn's stomach, he just kicks until nothing is pushing on her stomach anymore. We've decided that he must really like his space! :) We only have 3 months left! But Jenn keeps saying that he's active because he's so excited to see us, so she feels that he is going to come earlier than what we think.... who knows though right!?
