So yesterday we went to Dawson's 4 month appointment. Come to find out we have a tall skinny boy on our hands. We kept thinking and saying how long he was, and it was true..:) He is 26 1/2 inches long and is in the 85 percentile with height. His weight on the other hand was 14 lb 1 oz.. which is in the 31 percentile and a head in the 24th percentile. It reminds me of my dad who is tall and skinny and my mom's dad who is very tall and super skinny as well..
He had to get shots again, but he did so good for them. I think the nurse that gave him his shots this time was so much nicer and better than the last. He hardly cried! We watched how she gave them to him and she was so nice about it. The last nurse just shoved the needle in hard and his face went red red and he screamed. I hate nurses that work in pediatrics and are so mean and seem so heartless. :( Also last time Dawson threw up after getting the ROTA virus immunization (it's given orally) The nurse said it was probably just a fever or something. This time when he got the booster for it, he threw up immediately right after. The nurse this time felt so bad and held him and helped clean him up, let him calm down before she gave him shots, and then wrote down not to give him the immunization for that because he can't keep it down.
Anyways, he did really well and is growing so fast. He rolled over from back to tummy for the first time last night and he did it twice! Then J.D. got home from work and he was just rolling back and forth like crazy! haha! We are so blessed to have him! Even through sleepless nights it's crazy how we forget and just love them more and more.

What a stud! He sure does have Shelley in him! Just wait till he is older....he won't be able to keep his pants up-no backside! Maybe he will luck out and get a little of his dad in that area! :) love ya JD!
Stupid nurse! I know exactly which one you are talking about! We should seriously complain. haha
I always wonder if some nurses go in to it to be mean. Kind of like in the old days girls were nurses or school teachers only so they weren't happy. It's sad that you remember when a nurse is nice instead of remembering the rare bad one.
