The Pet Parade

Millard county had a street fair one day where the hosted a pet parade, chicken run, bunny run, trout catch with bare hands, and lots of other activities. We did the trout catch, and chicken run. By far the best was the trout catch. What made it better was our good friends Doug and Megan came up to visit!

The night before we had a bonfire in the backyard with our friends. It was so much fun and we made some more hilarious memories. There is truly never a dull moment when we are with them.

Dawson took a million pics- but I'm only posting 1. Lol!
The trout catch was awesome! The first round Dawson got so close, but no fish. Then they let my age group go and I missed as well. Then Dawson was prepping for his second round and aught one before the whistle so they made him put it back....... But he redeemed himself again! He caught one and was so proud! Those things were so slippery it was amazing that he held onto it.

Then my turn again- and i tracked down this huge fish in the bunch, and had to grab between its gills to hold onto it! I was SO excited!!! Me and Dawson had to watch and learn how to gut a fish, but in the end we just gave them to the cats.... so gross. Lol!

The chicken run was a joke with 2 chickens and 40 kids. Not exactly fun cuz the chickens didn't run. They just got picked up in 2 seconds- Dawson was a little upset but we reminded him that he got a fish and not everyone was able to do that. After that he was once again proud and the chickens forgotten.

There were free bounce houses which is where most of the time was spent! Also a balloonist was there and made a ninja turtle for Dawson! It was a great day and ended with a serious sunburn on my end-  whoops!

Doing the Dishes

While in Holden Dawson had wanted to spend time with mom, and I had to pick up the house so I could help out more with JD's parents for everything they have done for us. So Dawson decided he could do the dishes, which he faithfully did almost every day. Not even kidding. He did such a good job too! He'd even sing his cleaning the dishes song! So freaking cute!

I will have to upload the video when we get our computer up and going again.

Visit From Uncle Matt

My brother Matt stopped to see us in Holden one day. Dawson was so excited to see all the pigs he was hauling that day. We rarely see him, so it was a pretty rare day.

The Elk in Holden

A few weeks ago JD was passing between Fillmore and Holden and saw this huge heard of Elk. He came and got us and then I decided to get up close shots. Dawson was all for it. It was amazing how close we got. Dawson was a trooper a walked at least 2 miles with me! He was so excited!

JD was behind us taking pics too which showed how close we were!

Happy Easter

This year for Easter we were in St. George, UT with my mom and sisters. It was SO much fun! We colored eggs, swam a lot at the hotel, went to church, went hiking, and just relaxed! Dawson was so excited for the Easter bunny and all of his surprises! My mom got him an Easter Sunday church outfit, which Dawson absolutely loved because it was like his dads ( meaning he didn't have to wear a vest, just shirt and tie).

The Easter bunny brought him the movie Chipwrecked, Alan, bubbles, a book, a slap on wristband, some bunny ears, some pj's that r the kind Dawson likes, a soft stuffed bunny, and lots of candy! The candy has yet to run out because Dawson isn't a candy holic like his mom. He eats it but doesn't scarf it down and gets sick of it fast. He is more like a Stevens and likes crackers or chips instead ( it's a genetic thing I swear).

The Talent Show

Our niece Jetta and her cousin Jessie decided to host a talent show for the Stevens and Johnson's on a warm afternoon. It was so much fun and we were so excited about all the talents that everyone had.

The girls danced, Dawson folded his tongue into a straw, JD did his Mickey Mouse interpretation, I did the splits, Molly and the kids sang the alphabet forwards and backwards, Jetta did a history presentation that she won an award for at school, and Grandma Johnson read a book to the kids. OH and Ty, their dog, can smile!

Baby Elizabeth Collins Probert

I am obviously catching up since my last post. So to start, on March 4 a little after 2 pm my JD's sister had her baby! She is the cutest thing and super long!

She goes by Collins. The day she came couldn't of been more perfect. You see before JD and I moved, we were planning on watching their other little girl Destry while they went to the hospital. It turned out that I was in Cedar city the night before and decided to stay. I did a little pregnancy inducing acupuncture  (not that it was the total cause of her going into labor, but It must of helped). At 5 am I got a phone call and rushed over to go watch Destry. Dawson was so excited too that he wanted to come. Soon JD's mom arrived and let me go talk to Loni while she was progressively dialating.
While I was there it turned out that Loni had the same nurse that I did with Andee. She was so nice and so patient. All of the sudden Loni said she felt pressure so I ran and grabbed the nurse and it was time. Later that afternoon we got to go see the new arrival. It was so amazing and brought tears because it brought back memories of Andee. I can only trust my heart knowing Collins was the last person I know here on Earth that got to spend the most recent time with Andee. I just wished babies could talk. Dawson absolutely loves to hold her every chance he can get. It's so fun to see him love infants so much.
