Some More Awesome Dawson Moments
The other day we had a doctor's appointment and we told Dawson that we were going to listen to the baby's heart beat again.
Dawson's reply, "Um... no I don't think so. We can just listen to the baby's heart here!"
And then he puts his ear to my tummy to listen.
Dawson: "Mom! The baby is sad! Maybe I can sing my ABC song to it...."
Me: "That's a great idea Dawson."
Dawson singing: "ABCDEWXYZ!"
Me: "That was a fast ABC song! Good job buddy! Now let's sing the bumble bee song and wipe the yuckies on the baby. Maybe that will make it happy...what do you think?"
Dawson: "YEAH! (haha) That would be so funny!"
Then we sang "I'm bringing home a baby bumble bee" to the baby! It was so so cute! We were laughing pretty hard.
Dawson: "It's happy now!"
It melts my heart and completely amazes J.D. and I how in-tune Dawson is with the baby. He constantly is reminding me he needs to say "Good Morning" and kiss the baby. He understands that what I eat, the baby eats. He absolutely loves to feel the baby move! He will randomly put his hand on my tummy or his head and then say, "It kicked me! turky lurky!" He shows us and tells us all the things he's going to teach the baby. His favorite is that he wants to put the baby in his little red wagon, make a bed in the wagon, and pull the baby for a ride.
We don't think sharing will be a huge issue- Dawson sat in his high chair to the table to eat dinner and J.D. said, " Dawson, when the baby comes then it will need to sit in the high chair. It won't be for Dawson anymore."
Dawson: "Maybe I can sit in a big chair like you and mom! I can share my chair with the baby."
Mom: "That is a great idea- you are going to be such a good big brother!"
Dawson: "Yep..... and maybe I can share my bottles too!"
He is absolutely the sweetest kid ever! It makes J.D. and I feel like it really is perfect timing for this other one to come.
